From actresses like Eva Mendes to reality starlets like Khloe Kardashian, Hollywood has eagerly stripped down for PETA, but in their latest campaign, the animal rights organization failed to consult one of the most famous American faces before using her image.

The latest ad, titled �Fur-Free and Fabulous!�, surfaced today picturing First Lady Michelle Obama� alongside Carrie Underwood, Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks� without the White House�s knowledge. When contacted, Semonti Stephens, a spokeswoman for the First Lady, tells PEOPLE of the ad campaign: �We did not consent.� As far as Mrs. Obama�s feelings about the PETA cause in general, Stephens says only, �Mrs. Obama does not wear fur.� PETA�s response?

�The fact is that Michelle Obama has issued a statement indicating that she doesn�t wear fur, and the world should know that in PETA�s eyes, that makes her pretty fabulous,� the organization�s president Ingrid Newkirk told the press. �Andrea DeSimone

Katy Perry is thrilled to have a "teammate" in her brand new fiancé Russell Brand.

"I'm excited to find a partner who can just be my teammate," the "I Kissed a Girl" singer tells Glamour in its February "Man Issue," on newsstands Jan. 12. "And there's got to be respect. For me, that's hard because it's easy for me to steamroll guys. I need a man who tells me the party's over, that it's time to go home, because [we] have to work in the morning.”

The interview was done before the couple confirmed their New Year's Eve engagement on Wednesday, but Perry does deliver the dish on meeting her man.

'"When [Russell] was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy – I get a bit childlike," says Perry, 25, who has been dating Brand, 34, since the fall.

The bump watch could soon start for Khloe Kardashian.

The reality star and her Los Angeles Laker husband Lamar Odom, who got married in September just a month after meeting, are "not doing anything" to prevent her from getting pregnant, Kardashian said in a radio interview Wednesday on Valentine in the morning.

Kardashian stopped short of admitting that the couple are actively trying for a baby, but says they would like to be parents together. "We both want to," she says. "We're in an ideal situation. We're just happy together.”

However, Odom might have a faster timeframe in mind. Kardashian says her hubby wants a baby "tomorrow." In fact, Odom rushed out for pregnancy tests after Kardashian had an upset stomach on New Year’s Day.

"I just woke up and start throwing up all day long," she recalls. "He was like, 'Yes, you're pregnant,' and I was like, ‘No, I’m just sick.' "

Kardashian is a new aunt to three-week-old Mason Disick, son of sister Kourtney and longtime boyfriend Scott Disick.

Casey Johnson's death at age 30 didn't entirely surprise those in her inner circle.

Friends tell PEOPLE the troubled Johnson & Johnson heiress led an increasingly erratic existence in the months before she was found dead in her Los Angeles home Tuesday. "She had so many ups and downs, but lately, it wasn't very good," a pal tells PEOPLE. "She tried rehab, wanted things to change … but it didn't stick."

The source says Johnson had recently been acting more and more bizarre. "Just a few months ago, she was living like a crazy person," the pal says. "Super erratic behavior. People could barely be around her."

Johnson, an openly gay socialite engaged to Tila Tequila, had a history of diabetes. Her cause of death appears to be natural, according to officials, but toxicology reports are still pending.

"Casey thought being with a woman would make her edgy," another friend tells PEOPLE. "She never had luck with men because she was so weird and awkward."

Strained too were relationships with other friends and family. The friend says she spent a lot of time with Johnson until a year ago – when she stopped talking to her. "She was very troubled. Several of her family members didn't speak to her. The other Johnson kids felt she damaged their name."

With her divorce to Jon finally behind her, Kate Gosselin started off 2010 by spending some serious quality time with a new guy — and their date lasted until the wee hours of the morning. Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, who has tended to the tresses of Angelina Jolie and Anne Hathaway, spent nearly 20 hours last week meticulously adding hundreds of extensions to Kate’s hair. Luckily, they both agree that their time together was a smashing success. “Kate was an absolute sweetheart, I loved her,” says Gibson, who also appears on the TLC show What Not To Wear. While he knew that transforming the look that launched a thousand Halloween wigs would be a challenge, Gibson reveals it was the super-short, spiky hair in the back of Kate’s notorious former hairstyle that proved most daunting. “Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time. But in all those hours, she didn’t complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested, and willing to try just about anything.” Well, with one notable exception: At first, Gibson reports, Kate was reluctant to let go of the thick, jaw-length shock of hair in the front of her face in favor of bangs. “She wasn’t sure about bangs,” says Gibson, “But I find many women have that one thing they’re afraid to let go of, that one ‘security blanket’ part of their look, whether it’s a fear of going shorter or darker or something. The people have spoken – and they love Sandra Bullock!

The Blind Side star beat out stiff competition, including Jennifer Aniston and Kristen Stewart, to be named favorite movie actress at the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards, televised live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre Wednesday.

No stranger to the ceremony – this marks the star's fifth win for favorite movie actress since her first nomination in 1996 – Bullock, 45, was a double winner Wednesday night: Her film The Proposal, costarring Ryan Reynolds, was named favorite comedy.

"I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good," a tearful Bullock said while accepting her award. "[Thanks] most of all to my family . . . Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter."

The actress also acknowledged her fans. "Thank you to everyone who voted," she said, "because you're voting for all the people who make me look good – and you're making me look very good."

Otherwise, it was Twilight-mania at the Nokia Theatre, where voters didn't forget about the blockbuster. The teen vampire flick swept the award show, claiming four trophies in total, including favorite movie, favorite on-screen team (an award given out to the entire cast) and favorite franchise. Meanwhile, Taylor Lautner was awarded favorite breakout actor as the series' sexy werewolf, Jacob Black.

Don't call Carrie Underwood a Bridezilla!

The newly engaged country singer has some simple requests when it comes time to tie the knot with her hockey player fiancé Mike Fisher. "[I want] a groom, good food and an open bar," Underwood, 26, tells PEOPLE on the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards at Los Angeles's Nokia Theatre.

She may not know who's designing her wedding dress yet – or have picked a wedding date – but Underwood has some thoughts about how she plans to look on her big day.

"I'm Southern," she says. "I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I'll probably be rocking some big hair and some eyeliner."

Underwood, who just released her third album Play On, will kick off her tour in April – but she has a strategy for staying in touch with Fisher while they're apart. "We're big texters," she says. "We talk on the phone. I-Chatting, I don't know what we'd do without it to be honest – and face time is the most important."

Before marrying Marc Anthony, this Jenny was around the block twice with marriage, and by now Jennifer Lopez thinks she knows what it takes to make it last.

"What people don't talk about, which is interesting to me, is how you have to put as much work into your relationships as you do into anything else," Lopez Latina magazine's February issue. "We put so much into our careers … but there's also a lot of work that goes into making a successful partnership and marriage. It's not easy."

The 40-year-old Lopez tried and failed at marriage twice before, first with Ojani Noa and then with Cris Judd. She also was engaged to actor Ben Affleck, but the couple called off their wedding.

"Anybody who's successful at it deserves a pat on the back," Lopez says. "You've got to grow with each other; you've gotta bend over backwards for each other."
